Rear Sway Bar Question

I'm thinking about buying a RSB from Custommaxima.com. For those of you who have installed this, how long does it take to install and how easy is it to install? Thanks.

IT's very easy, however, if you get an Addco be prepared. They have shipped some w/ bad hardware. I say bad meaning you have to drill out the holes on some of the attaching plates to get the brackets to fit. You'll know what I mean if you get a bad set. Otherwise it's a piece of cake.

It was really quick (1-2 hours). I used wheel ramps which made things nice and easy.

This is incorrect. Some people who installed the Addco didn't give it enough time or effort to get the hardware to fit. If you run across this problem, which you probably will, all you need to do is MAKE SURE you're putting the bracket on completely stright with both bolts going through the plate at the same time. It will be a tight squeeze, but it will fit. Doing one side at a time makes it seem as though it will never fit. To make it a little easier, simply bend the bolt a tiny bit around the frame. Go with the Addco, its cheaper but performs very well. You'll notice a drastic difference.

I had no problem at all, at most it took an 1 hour, and that was pushing it. My father was surprised I put it on that quick.

2 hours!?

Well ... I suppose if it's your first time ... maybe... but if you get someone to help you out that has done it before, shouldn't take more than 45 minutes.

Be sure to use the correct plates with the correct bolts. They are slightly different. This will cause them not to fit if they are interchanged.

No, it's not. I got a bad hardware kit with mine, a couple parts missing and a couple extra. I could still install it buy purchasing extra nuts. Some people posted pictures of what they got, and there's no way they could've made it work.

Sorry but I'm not incorrect. I am fairly mechanically inclined and have installed a total of 4 of the Addco, and 2 of the Stillen RSB's and I can tell you, without a doubt, that sometimes the hardware is not machined properly and doesn't fit without modification for the Addco's. In any event it's a great mod and the benefits greatly outweigh the cost. To further that benefit go with the less expensive Addco.

My bad...Didn't mean to second guess, just thought that it was a universal problem, not that parts were missing or whatever.
