Does the 4th generation Maxima have Spark Plugs?? What's the deal? Are there no wires, or cap and rotor as well?? What's the deal??

 

We've got six cylinders. We've got six spark plugs. We've also got six miniature spark coils which are physically touching the spark plugs. The Engine Control Module fires each coil at the right time. This advanced design eliminates the need for a distributor and spark plug wires.
