question about B&G Springs

I have a question about B&G springs. I was wondering if i can keep my stock struts and still use the B&G Springs?....cause i've noticed most people buy new struts with there springs, so i was just wondering.

you can theoretically, but I wouldn't leave them on stock struts permanently. The stock strut is not build to handle the 1.6 inch drop, and will probably fail after using it too long.

Just get some KYB AGX's and put them in at the same time as the B+G's, your handling will be awesome.. CHeck the classifieds forums for some good deals on the AGX's.

A man no disrespect but how did you become a "maxima obsessed" and not know why people buy new struts with their springs
anyways I'm probably going to be doing the same thing as you and get hooked up with some AGX and springs. I'm still up in the air whether to B&G or H&R

yes you can. As long as the stock struts dont have like 100k or more. Then you know its time for new struts.

When i had my car dropped with H&R's, i was gonna leave the stockers in for a while but that same day one of the rear struts blew out on me so i wound up swapping them all out for Tokico blues and they have been fine ever since. Go figure, there was only 42k on the stock struts when they blew out on me.

Id reccomend goin with the new KYB AGX's for the adjustablity or if you dont have the $$ go Tokico Blues, you wont be dissapointed.

goodluck!

Tokico blues suck! I got rid of my H&Rs years ago because the struts were so bad, mostly the rear being too soft. Do it right and get adjustable. AGX have the rep, but the Konis work well too.

Go with the B+G's you will be glad you did, I know I was. I replaced my struts with AGX's at 40,000 miles and the factory struts were already shot and this was before I lowered the car.

Look into the KYB GR2's if you're not looking to spend a pile of cash on the struts/shocks & you don't need all the adjustability of the AGX. Good upgrade from OEM, very durable & reasonably priced.

B&G's are the way to go! How many miles do you currently have? I had 43,000 now I have 46, no problems here.

Best price for AGX

I just bought mine from the shop listed in thread -
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=101468

Or go KYB GR2. Not sure where you'll find the best deal there
but I recall http://www/shox.com had fair prices on them when I
started searching prior to settling on the AGX.

Enjoy!
