4th gen spoiler mod

I'm thinking about removing my SE spoiler and sliding it back about 3-4 inches so it hangs over the edge of my trunk and creates the illusion that my car is longer. What do you guys think? Any opinions?

Hmmm, looks like you'll be adding eight additional holes to your trunk as a bonus mod. Personally I'm waiting for the Type 2 wing but if you think moving the stock wing back will look good then go for it.

Re: Re: 4th gen spoiler mod

you could do that but if someone were to come along and lean on it 2 things could happen:
1) the spoiler will bend the trunk lid where it is bolted in
or
2) if too much force is applied it'll rip the whole thing off leaving nasty scars

but hey it's your car .. if you think it'll look good than go for it

Won't the supports also hang over the edge of the trunk too, rather than just the wing part? Unless your going to modify them so they are smaller and therefore will not hang over.

That's some good input. What does the type II wing look like?

Search for Type 2 pics. It's a really nice looking wing. It's a bit taller and more dramatic than the stock spoiler. I'm not sure but it may give you the look you are looking for.
