Just rode in a 5spd 2000 Max
That thing was fast as hell!!! Maybe it just seemed faster because it was a 5spd and I drive an 97 auto but it seemed to pull really hard through all gears. All he had in it was an intake. I wonder if I would be able to hang with him with my intake,y-pipe,cat-back and 55 shot of ZEX. Do you think id be able to beat him with a 75 shot? Just thought id share, id never ridden in one before. Take Care
You would be able to win....I dont know about you but when Im in the passanger seat the car that I'm in always seems faster than when I'm driving it...Maybe cause I'm not in control...
The other night I had my friend drive mine and open it up on the highway and I was thrown back into the seat like never before but when I drive it, it doesnt seem all that fast

the 2000 and 2k1 maxes only have 222hp

OK, I'll correct you.
2000-2001 Maxima has 222hp (227hp in the case of the AE), 3.0L VQ30DE-K. 2002 is the only year with 255hp 3.5L.
You are right about the PERFORMANCE part though, 2000-2001 Maximas are not any faster than 95-99 Maximas are.
The car you rode it seemed faster than yours because it was a 5 speed, its a whole different feel than an auto. With your mods you could hang pretty well off the bottle unless your car is inordinately slow. On the bottle, either 55 or 75 shot, you'd destroy him.

I agree, when I let others drive my car, it feels faster...It will throw me back in the seat...but I figued it out, it's cause when I'm driving, I anticipate being thrown back so I don't feel it as much......HOLLAAAA
