Cool! .. My Airbag Light Blinks!

So I was driving to work yesterday and my airbag light decided to blink the whole way there and the whole way home. Hmmmm...is there a code i should check for in my ECU? Could it be just a stupid fuse? Boy I tell ya, one problem after another with this 95 SE.

Welsome to the Airbag blinking light club.

Mine has been doing that for almost a year now. It is most likely not the fuse, it would be solid red if it was the fuse.

There is no code to check the ECU, but do a search on how to reset the Airbag. It "may" help Mine worked after reseting, but then it began flashing again, and doesn't go away anymore.

As far as I know, they only solution is taking it to a dealer and having it fixed ($400 - 600 I hear).

Seems like the Knock Sensors and the bloody Airbag lights are a plague in the Maximas.

Welcome to the club!

To the best of my knowledge, the airbag/seatbelts

are lifetime warrantee with no mileage limit. I am 99% sure of that. Call your dealer.

I hope so...

I am going to have to look into this.

I bought my car off someone, does that mean I still have the warranty? I don't know what dealership the car was purchased at, does that matter?

no luck

Just spoke to the wonderful NISSAN customer service, and they told me that the seatbelts are lifetime warranty, as long as you didn't mess with them (I'm sure they'll tell you that you did), and the airbag warranty is 5 years or 100,000 KM, so I am out of luck.
