Remote Keyless entry

My remote isn't broken I know that but the car doesn't respond to it anymore, we checked the fuses, what could it be?

Same thing happened to me just tonight. It has happened once before where it suddenly stops responding. I just reprogrammed it on the spot and it works fine now.

Mine did the same thing, how do I reprogram it myself or do I have to take it somewhere to get it programmed?

If you do a search on this there are a few instructions out there, but here goes anyway...

Get in and lock the doors.

Put the key in and out of the ignition like 10 times fast until the parking lights flash.

Turn the car on but do not start it and push the button on your remote. The lights should flash.

If you have another remote....

Leave the car on and unlock and lock the doors.

Now push the button on your other remote.

Repeat this last part for yet another remote.

If you have more than one remote you will need to program all of them at the same time even if it is already working.

Good luck! This is just from memory so hopefully I did not miss anything.

Here's a link: http://web2.airmail.net/scutchen/max_faq/index.htm

But that's pretty much it. To clarify, when he says "turn it on", he means turn it to ACC? (the first click when you turn the ignition where radio can be used). When he says "push the button", he means the big blue (Lock) button. The details are on that website.
