I have an Automatic SE 95' soon to have greddy cat-back exhaust and I'm not sure on intake, any suggestions I'm thinkin HKS Magna Flow what about you guys, but anyway I raced him he's my friends and he beat me through gears 1 2 and 3 but when we hit 60 I *****ed him and pulled passed him like a mother, I mean it's a nice car and all but I thought he would burn me, My maxima is bone stock, Any ides on the exhaust or intake too? And can I find a turbo for it I mean theres the supercharger but what about a turbo guys?

 

Maybe he let off the gas pedal cause from what i know the auto maximas can take them off the line and then the RSX will catch up and reel you in...quoted from somewhere.....

Intake: the best one is probably the CAI, either Place Racing or Warpspeed. But if you dont want to cut a hole in your fender, get a JWT pop charger intake.

Exhaust: sounds like you're getting one already.. but you should also think about getting a Y-pipe, much higher increase in HP than from a cat-back. It also gets louder.

he probably lead off the gas cause my homie has a 02 rsx type-s and that sucker is hard to beat on the top end they do better on the higher gears, he beats me by 3 cars i have an 95 auto with cai,y pipe,pulley, and exhuast.

 

I raced one a week or so ago and beat him really bad, that was with the 55 shot of ZEX but I would have beaten him without it too. I pulled away from him by about 6-7 cars from a stop to 95. Take Care

 

Mine was loud at first, but now the car sounds kinda low and serious, like it knows what it means. I can hear the intake hiss over the y-pipe.

 

hey maybe he did let off the gas maybe he didnt. ask him. but to me its all in the driver. trust me a good quote was "its not how u stand by your car its how u race ur car" thats the truth. but i have researched the power of the max. and as many of u know the 95 maxima is the fastest of the 3rd and 4th gen maximas. we all know this. soo if u see hes got a 95 i mean im not sayin that they are a whole lot fatser but hey anything helps. but i think i should correct u when u said u smoked by him. nope that wont happen. i raced my mans rsx-s i have a 96 5 speed and i got a lil somthing under the hood nothing to major and him and i off the line were even then he pulled ahead but as soon as i hit 3rd i gained on him at a good rate. then fourth and he was in my rear veiw. thats my 2 cents.

 

That doesn't make sense. If he beat you through gears 1,2,3 he is pushing 90mph. not 60mph.
