97 Max

Hey guys, I just bought a 97 black Maxima SE with all the options.. including a 5 speed with 102,000 miles on it, for $8500. Do you think I over paid for it? it runs great and is in great shape.

That is way to much money for a nine seven, plus it has too many miles.

Not sure where you're from, but up here in NH that's not a bad price.... I think I just saw a 98 with about 100K and it was like $9500.00 so you didn't do too bad...

i'm in los angeles and i got my 97 se last year(w/all the crap for GLE) for $7800. had 106k miles on it...=/ and i got it from a dealer. was yours from a dealer or person? well, i dun think u overpaid at all.^.^ hmm maybe i can make money selling it this year.
but the car mileage is critical when it comes to the value of the car.
if u look in bluebooks, 100k miles would easily slash $2000 off the value of your car.

Yeah i got it from a dealer who also repainted the front and back bumper, and did some brake work. I'm the seccond owner, i called the previous owner and he said that he did a lot of highway driving. After talking to him I felt better about my purchase. I'm very happy with my maxima, its a great car.

Your right about that. Cause when I got mine ( a 98) it had 52K or so and was around that price range. What part of Ma you from? I am near Lowell.

My sister goes there. This is her first (and I think she is transfering so maybe last) year there. There are some other people from Ma down by your area too. Check out the regional forum here on this site.
