Crazy Idle/Rpms - Solved

I've been having two problems.

1) My rpms would fluctuate up and down between 500 and 1000 rpms when my car was in park or not moving.

2) When I start my car, my rpms would be high (which is normal). But even after warming up, my car would be at about 1k while not even moving and if I put it in neutral it would go to about 1500. This would happen most of the time, but not all the time so I new the throttle cable wasn't the problem.

I tried all the various things:
-Throttle cable, cruise control cable
-IACV (idle air control valve)
-Fast air selenoid (something like that name)
-Throttle body clean (this didn't fix it, but it helped)

Finally I decided to clean my air filter on my CAI, WOW this thing was dirty. It was about 17k-20k miles since my last cleaning. And I cleaned all the intake piping, even though it was only a little dirty. Well, after that my problem was completely solved!!

good job man, good to know that sometimes things can be fixed by doing something as cleaning the air filter
