I have the Haynes manual, and it doesn't say anything about the alarm system. Does anyone know where I can find the specs? Any FAQS or troubleshooting guides?

I was thinking of a replacement or an add-on (like shock sensor, interior movement sensor, etc.), but need more info.

What specs are you looking for? The wiring diagram? I have a Viper alarm in my car covering all zones. I'm not sure how the factory alarms are built or what zones are covered, but I believe it doesn't cover all the zones like an aftermarket alarm. Furthermore, where is the "brain" for the alarm in your car? Is it in the Body Control Module? I'm not sure how those factory alarms work, but I know for a fact that they are covered more extensively in the Nissan repair manual if you happen to come across one. I hope this helps any. Good luck!
