GReddy Website

ok, so i'm checking out their website knowing that the SP catback is for my year, but then i look at their EVO and it says for Nissan GLE 1999-up. is this a mistake or does the EVO really fit the 99? it would be great cuz i like the looks of the EVO better than the SP.

Reviving an old thread here. I know that you have the EVO on your 99 SE-L.
Does the "L" in the SE-L matter when it comes to the Greddy EVO exhaust? Although I have the SE with the "L", I just would like to confirm fitment before I place an order. Are there issues with this exhaust fitting a SE...withOUT the "L"? If so, how is our cars' exhaust different compared to regular SE?

Thanks in advance.

wow. yeah, this is an old thread. the "L" is nothing more than Nissan's way to try and sell more maximas before they started putting out the 5th gen maximas. the only difference between SE and SE-L are the cosmetic features. but, there are cars we like to refer to as 99.5 maximas. i could be wrong, but SE-L cars are likely to be the 99.5 maximas. the reason for this is because a friend and i noticed that the y-pipes for your SE-L are similar to the y-pipes of the 5th gen maximas. i compared my stock y-pipe to another 4th gen y-pipe (95 to be exact) and unfortunately, my stock y-pipe has more O2 sensors than the other. there are many threads out there if you want to know more about it.

Anyway, to answer your question. the "L" has nothing to do with the cat back exhaust system. so, enjoy your GReddy EVO when it comes in the mail.

Appreciate the info.
So there is no difference between the 99 SE & SE-L when it comes to cat-back exhaust system. The only difference the Y-pipe & cosmetic stuff.
So, technically the Greddy EVO cat-back should also fit the 97-98 Maxima also...correct? But since that is not true...; Can I assume that the 97-98 cat-back is different than the 1999 Maxima SE (with or without the "L").?
Thx again
