Power shifting

I heard it is bad, too, but I do it sometimes. But it seems that whenever I powershift and then throw it back into regular drive... the gears change nicer and at a lower rpm... but then again... my Maxine could be weird.

Re: Power shifting

Like one of the other guys said on the General Discussion board... Power shifting is basically planting your foot on the gas, shifting, while never letting your foot off the gas one bit... It can be bad if you don't have an upgraded clutch... if you slip and grind the gears, there's another...

Powershifting is an abusive driving practice. It will burn out a clutch quickly. It can be condoned only in the setting of a true drag race run on a drag strip, where a race may be won or lost by a tenth of a second.

Re: Power shifting

They are talking about 5-speed powershifting.. =P I sure hope you keep your foot planted when you shift through your auto.. =P And that different feeling you get after a good hard run is probably your tranny fluid being all heated up. Thats why the tranny shifts a little different. Hehehe.
