Adding just a new muffler will get you nothing but noise, no power.

Get a Y-pipe.

 

exactly. You will see adds for a muffler saying that you will get a 9-12 horsepower increase, which is not true at all. As mzmtg said, a y pipe would be your best choice if you are looking for performance.

 

semi OT but anyone know what a flowmaster sounds like on our cars... i use them on my truck and my bros truck and it gives a nice deep tone (both big block v8's so they have some anyway) will it give a nice deep tone and not that lawnmover effect to the max?
