I want to replace my wheel bearing on my front driver side. i went to www.motorvate.ca and i didn't know what a slide hammer was or a threaded rod was, nor do i know how to make the "hub removal tool". is it possible for me to remove the bearing myself or do i need to goto a shop and have then take it out. someone please help me

I changed my left front bearing. In the front there are bearings and hubs. You might need to change both. My mechanick charged me 120 to replace it. The hub was good so he didnt touch it. In the back i replaced one too but that comes with the hub. Its harder to change the front so go to a specialist.

if you don't know any of that you mentioned...it's best to go visit your local mechanic.

i don't believe in goig to the mechanic, that is for rich yuppies or dumb women. I've repaired everything else on my car. i'm sure i can handle the bearing. its not like i'm rebuilding a transmitino, i'm removing a cylinder in a hub.
