Hazard Lights Came on and Stay on??

I was driving to work today, and the hazard lights came on by themselves and just stayed on. I couldn't pull over right away cause I was on the highway. But while I was driving the right signal start going on and off and then coming back on. Then they both go out, and pop back up and stay on. They did this about 3 times and now they're stuck on, I had to pull the fucse out cause I didn't want to leave my car parked with them on. They're not blinking but just lit up. This happened before but I disconnected the battery and they went off, but now this time it's not working. What could it be? Also when looking my car a couple of days ago using the remote, they didn't blink letting me know it was locked. It's a 98 Max Se Fully loaded. Thanks.

Check out www.motorvate.ca look for the area called "smoke in the car". Turned out to be the directional stack switch shorted out. Might be your problem as well. When they short out, they run currnet to the directional circuit and cause all kinds of weird stuff to happen.

Check all your fuses while at it. See if anything looks burned out or in need of replacing.
