I have a 95 GLE but was looking at a 97 SE today. I noticed the two small speakers were in the doors instead of the two front windshield pillars like my 95. Wonder why they moved them? Just wondering. Thanx

 

It costs more to have two seperate units than one nice all in one unit. They simply sacrificed performace for production cost. If you'll also notice in the front the speakers are located so the sound is aimed at your feet, but if your in the back it's aimed at the back of your head. Bose is highly overated and I simply cannot stress that enough.
