JWT ECU upgrade--please help

I went to the drag strip last night for the first time. Launching was hard to judge...I either was soft or got wheel hop. The best of 10 runs was 15.33 with a '95 SE 5-speed with stillen intake and WSP y-pipe. Anyway, I am thinking of the JWT ECU upgrade, but I just called stillen and they said they don't carry it even, because the '95 and '96's had some OBD stuff change and it is hard to get much power increase at all out of them. Has anyone here gotten the upgrade on a 5-speed '95 or '96 and how much difference did you notice, seat of the pants but more importantly, at the track? I am thinking against this now. Also, I am not too sure my y-pipe did too much good. It was one of the non-stainless bees-in-a-can varieties, and with times like this I doubt it's giving me 15 more horses. Seat of the pants was not much different at all, and the bees noise is starting to bug me. Does anyone know if the newer lined ones might be better? Also, would it help to replace the cat back that much? Mine is still stock. Like is that keeping me from getting gains with the y-pipe? So my main questions are: What differences have you guys noticed with the JWT upgrade on 95 or 96? And what might be up with my y-pipe? Thanks.

ECU upgrade will give a significant gain, just like a Y-pipe will. Keep in mind these mods will give subtle gains, they aren't going to transform your car into a nitrous breathing blown 454. 5hp there, 10 here, 10 over there, it all adds up. Bejay1 gained 15 ft-lb of torque from his G-Force upgrade, and the JWT upgrade is supposedly a little bit better than the G-Force even.

You'll gain approx 10-12 hp w/ the JWT ECU upgrade. You'll take advantage of the richer fuel maps and more aggressive timing curves with more mods (ie UD pulley, B pipe, muffler)

Sounds a little slow to me. My 98' SE 5spd, ABSOLUTELY stock, with about 1/3 tank of gas, full interior, ran a best run of 14.8, and a slow of 15.3, in about 23 degree celcius weather or about 73.5 F. I would look into basic things like fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, O2 sensors, etc. BTW, I launched around 2800rpms, and NEVER EVER power shifter. One thing that disapoints me is the 1-2 shift. It's nothing like the 2-3.
