Has anyone else had a problem with the RT cat? I sent
the first one back less than a month old. One of the
bricks in it came loose and caused a loud rattle. I've
had the second one for two months and I believe the
rattle is back.

Any additional information you could provide would be
helpful.

Also, has anyone else been told that there is NO
such thing as a HI-flow Cat? A Muffler shop I trust
has told me this on several occasions.

I had a rattle problem but

mine was caused by a broken spot weld on the RT cats heat shield... check that first...

5K on my RT Cat so far and no problems (except a small exhaust leak at the Y)

Of course high-flow CAT's exist. There's at least 4 mfg I know of incl RT, Warpspeed, etc.

Mine went (brick became unattched)after 15k miles. The muffler shop said it blew because my car was running too rich. I had my Nissan mechanic look at the cat and he said it was normal carbon build up.
