I want to get an Optima battery, where can I buy one online? Also, what's the difference between a red top, and a yellow top? I need to replace my battery sooner, or later, so I might as well get a good one.

Shipping really sucks on those. Buy it local if you can.

Go to summit racing. I don't know their exact address, but I ordered mine throught their catalog. Red top is for normal use (a good starting battery). Yellow top is a deep cycle which can be continuously drained down and recharged without damage. It cost about $40 more than the red top. Blue top is a deep cycle for marine use. It can however be used on cars also. Really I recommend yellow because if you have stereo sys. or anything that can drain a battery down, it will not get damaged from a constant "dead" recharge.

Go to http://www.optimabatteries.com/main.htm and click on "Where To Find". This will provide the name of local dealers. Auto batteries are heavy, so shipping charges are high. Buy from a local source if there is one.

You can also buy these at Pep Boys auto parts stores. Just for my 2 cents worth.

Thanks guys. I went to the Optima battery site, and looked up a local store that have them. Much better than having one shipped here.
