My friend that works at a Infiniti dealership just told me that he could get me an vq30 for the half price from the retail price. 2gs for the 2000 227 horsepower engine sounds sweet to me.
What do you guys think. How would the aftermarket field work? Would there be any problems?

you buy it for 2 g's, sell it for retail, take the profit and buy mods for your 4th gen engine that will get you above 227hp. Plus no fee's on trying to make the engine fit.
