Don't go overwattage -->

There are several good bulbs for the 4th gen Maxima.

Piaa Superwhites - $65/pair - prolly the best ones
Narva Powerrangr - $45/pair - pretty good too
Sylvania CoolBlues - $25/pair - best value - 95% as good as piaas

I have the Sylvania Coolblues myself and they are excellent. Pretty much everyone who has them also feel the same way. The beam pattern is better than stock, and the output is white, not blue at all. The beam is so white that oncoming cars often flash their brites at me thinking I have my highbeams on! I like the fact that these bulbs are sold at normal auto stores so if one burns out it is easy to replace.

The Narvas can be purchased at Courtesy Nissan.

In my opinion, the Narvas are 110% of the PIAAs.

I actually have the NOKYA HID bulbs.......more

They really aren't that good....they seem to be dipped in blue paint, i have gone through 2 sets in about 18 months so they aren't very reliable....but they give a great color at night....the visibility is actually reduced from stock. I have piaa sw's before but the difference in appearance just wasn't enough for me....it all comes down to personal preference, whether you're going for great visiblility or flat out nice HID looks. of course having direct relations to Twin Power motorsports in houston doesn't hurt because anytime my bulbs burn out they just flat send me more......hehehheee

Another good bulb to look into is the APC Super White Xenon Plasma's. Great bulb. Color, and light output have simply gorgeous. I see better and it makes the car look pretty dam good. Look into em.

using piaa's

I have to say at $65-70 a pop for the piaa's they are not all that good--for that kind of money. They are brighter than stock, but they can be better I think. I have seen the sylvania's and for about 1/2 the price you can get something that is just as good. If and when the Piaa's die out, I would definetely go with the sylvania's the next time.

btw, does any know if the headlight unit can be aimed so that the light shined covers a wider area. It seems that my light beam is more concentrated in the center--

thanks =)

I have Eurolites

My sig say it all and I like my Eurolite XENON HID Crystal Bulbs. They are 80/100 Watt and I have had no problem as of yet and I have not had to upgrade my wiring harness either.I have them in #1157Side markers,#194Clear corners,#H3Fog lights. These are real broght and in the day time when you see me coming there is a cool blue tint reflecting off of the lens many,many compliments. I like them and I got them off ebay for $17.50 a set. My opinion of course $0.02.

APC superwhite great bulb....

They have a small tint of blue to them, but don't lok ricey. The low beams are spectacular, but the high pattern is a bit weak. Not too bad though. I would sugest looking at those also. APC doesn't sell to the public by the way,so you have to go thru a performance/ speed shop.
