How to tell for sure if Knock sensor is "dead"

As some of you may know my max is dynoing at 151hp to the wheels (10 under stock, and at least 20 under what it should be) and it seems that most think its the knock sensor. Before i go blow 112 bucks on this, how can i tell for sure (or pretty sure) it is my knock sensor and not somting else? I searched and couldnt find anything about this. Thanks
