For those comparing Don's VB mod vs Transgo Shift kit
I just finally finished installing Don's VB mod. I previously had a Transgo Shift Kit in. My tranny is freshly rebuilt from a month ago.
Now my impressions and opinion. There is NO comparison. Don's VB mod is unbelieveable. The shift from 1st to 2nd is awesome. My tranny being new, it cuts loose (not just a little chirp) if I get on it. The shift from 2nd to 3rd is firm and have 0 lag. Downshifts are a little better than stock. What I liked about it is that if you just putt putt around you only feel it "firmer" but not overly harsh. It is a big difference from stock though. I haven't ran any new times on the G-tech yet, but will be totally surprised if they don't improve considerably. The install is straightforward, but you have to follow the instructions exactly. I personally had to install and re-install twice because I didn't inspect the O-rings between the VB and the tranny case and one was busted, not allowing for the 2-3 shift. 10 hours later, a case of fluid, and a few more gray hairs on my head I found the problem and it now shifts perfect.
I haven't played with it too much. Like manually shifting, super hard launches, or even ran my N2O yet. I'll give it a few days and then see what it can really do.
My bottom line: Money well spent. The difference between Don's VB mod and the Transgo Shift Kit is like the difference between a Maxima and a Sentra. Night to day. I've spent my money on both. I can assure anyone thinking about this mod; you won't regret it. It's awesome.

I hear you but I sure would like to see some 1/4 numbers that support the VB Mod. To me that amount of money must give better numbers to be considered a performance mod. I am going to do number crunching next weekend, some with full line pressure vs stock, it would be nice to compare.
