Hmm, I haven't tried anything else, but I have been getting good results from Meguiars. I use the cleaner/conditioner in 1 bottle.

I use Tanners but Lexol seems to be regarded as "The Best".
Anyway, check this link and their "how to" on leather care.

I was wondering if any one tried "Surflex Leather Soffener" that they
talk about?

I am pretty happy with the Lexol. It is much better than the other ones I tried a while ago, I forget the names.

We just bought a 98 GLE (looks like SE, but it ain't). Leather looked not-so-hot. 30 minutes with the Lexol, and it looks awesome! Their plastic / rubber cleaner is great too.
