Frankencar Intake vs. PR CAI???

what is the deal with this frankencar intake. people claim it gives more at top end speeds and many people have done this mod but does it really make a difference. I have a PR CAI, would be worth it to take the bottom piece off? Anyone have track times, or thoughts about the complete CAI vs. the frankencar intake?

This is the HAI vs CAI debate. Before you get flamed, use the search function and you will see this a highly controversial debate where each side has made very valid points back and forth. Also look at the top of the General forum where an actual experiment was done by a fellow org member regarding this same issue.

The Frankencar intake definitely has gains on the 5th Gens but no test have been done on 4th gens yet.

cold air is better if your drive local alot............the hybrid style air style intake that frankencar has pretty much give the best of both worlds(low end and high end), but the low end power is still not going to be as good as a cai

ok.. then i guess i should keep it on as a CAI since I am more of a stop light racer. Most my time is spent in busier areas than highways. I should just go on and try it myself once it stops raining in 'isht hole Binghamton, NY.

thanx Ro
