I hear a loud snapping noise when making full turns with wheel all the way to one side. Usually when backing out of a tight spot. Is this similar to what don in texas was talking about? cv joint or axle or something?
I bought a full extended warrenty until 101k. Should I just take it in?

Yup sounds like a cv. Take it in.

 

It is probably the CV joint, but it could also be one of several other factors, such as spring binding or like it was in my car, the upper spring seat was rubbing against a bolt sticking out from the inner right front fender.
