I know that everyone in here has probably noticed the new larger muffler on the Eclipses? I was just wondering if it would be possible to mount this on my maxima? I don't want an aftermarket muffler because they are all too loud for my tastes and I kind of sick of having a loud car, like my previous VW Gti that gave me a head ache, cause it was soo loud. Any way I think that the mitsu mufflers look pretty cool with the larger outlet, and I heard one eclipse with intake and stock muffler and it sounded really bad ***! Any one have any comments would be nice to hear.

 

Measure it. Then measure your muffler, if they are close, I bet an exhaust shop could make it work. It definitly wont bolt straight in, but I'm sure it could be done.

 

If you don't screw with the resonator on your car and you only change the muffler it probably won't be that loud. Unless you have a Y pipe. I don't know how other mufflers sound on Maximas but the one I have made very little noise over stock. And even with my resonator off while crusing on the highway it sounds very stock (3000 RPM in 5th).
I have a weapon R intake and a Tenzo-R Muffler.

 

a muffler shop could custom fit it for 40 bucks or less
