New CAI today!

I installed my new Place Racing CAI today and I'm pretty happy about it. I can definately feel a little more power along side the new "Race-car" type sound when I really get on it! Any of you guys have an auto that you're adding performance parts to? I know it's probably silly that I'm doing all of this stuff to my Automatic 96 GXE, but it's fun! I just wanted to say thanks to Maxima.org for posting that "Do-it-yourself" page for the install, it helped tremendously.

Peace

auto is slower than stick, by far, but auto itself isnt really that slow. To know that a four door "family" car with intake, and full exhaust can take on a 4.6 stang is something worth smiling about.

Yeah but I'm still swapping this summer

i just added the GReddy EVO to my car last night and it feels great. i also have the Place Racing CAI. soon i'll have warpspeed's y-pipe installed. let me tell you, just the CAI and exhaust alone is crazy loud. i can't wait to see what effect the y-pipe will have to it...

its says its suppose to smooth out the air flow on the high end but not shure if the improvement is much.
I have both the Monsterflow and K&N and have been switching back and fourth between them but I currently have the Monsterflow on right now.

i was thinking of getting the Stillen SC..but, i keep hearing mixed opinions about it...does anyone have an idea of how much HP that adds to the WHEELS? and...for that price...do u think i would be better off just getting a Y-PIPE, and CAI..and get almost the same amount of HP at the wheels?

Y-Pipe and CAI on an Auto = 12hp at the wheels, if you're lucky.

S/C on an Auto = 65hp at the wheels.

You decide!

Hey man,

CAI + Y gives you more than 12 at wheels man.

12 hp? I don't think so... My Y-Pipe alone felt like it added that, particularly on the high-end. However, no WAY is CAI + Y Gonna equal a S/C! Where'd you pull that one from?

I guess I stand corrected.

So does a Y-Pipe + CAI give more hp than a HAI (Pop Charger) and Y-Pipe?
