two new mods this weekend!

I haven't any pictures, but I did the following:

1) Budget Y-Pipe --> whole thing took about 45 minutes. Sounds a little deeper, seems a little faster...but, my car is still stuttering (was happening before to).

2) Chrome Gauge Rings --> what a f'ing nightmare
The rings were too big, and the gasket stuff wasn't sticky enough.
I had to CUT my instrument cluster cover (that black piece) and after repeatedly wiping sweat from my brow (I HATE CUTTING STUFF IN MY CAR) it came out pretty crappy...

OK, so, does anyone know if I can buy that black gauge cover with chrome rings in the gauges along with the chrome around the warning lights? or ????

Anyhow, if I get pics, I'll send it up...

best,
FLO_BOY

I'm not sure about the chrome rings, but you can buy the gauge cover face at any junkyard. What about the chrome gauge cluster cover from CustomMaxima.com?

Where did you get your rings from? I got mine from Sy last year and they went in perfect and look great. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

even if that was the case (which, I'm sure it isn't), I have an SE, and the rings were too big...

The rings are universal...you must have either gotten a bad set or all Kevin Wong's sets are bad...it should slide in, in 2 seconds flat.

I didn't install the Y-Pipe...Budget Exhaust did...

As far as I could tell, there were no problems removing my old one.

I mean, some of the bolts were heated up to remove them, but, nothing
major...and there were two guys working on it, so, I know that sped things up too.

No write up, just quick mechanics!
