Dunlop tires: Sp 5000 OR Sp A2???

Anyone have any recommendations? i have the SP 5000's now and it's time for new tires. I have been happy with the sp 5000 b/c it was so much better than the RSA's i had. The A2 has better specs than the 5000 and are cheaper. What to get?

I got the A2s and I am very happy with them. They are amazingly quiet, handle really well in the dry and the rain... I drive "spirited" sometimes and they take all you can dish out. I have not had experience with the SP5000s, although I considered them myself as well..
Also depends what size you want to get the tires in... I don't think the A2s are available in 225/50/16, i have the stock 215/55/16 size.

I just went from W-10's to Sport 5000's and I like them. They didn't make the sport A2's in my size, 235-45-17, but from what I have heard they are decent all seasons. But if you want a little more performance, the go with the sport 5000's. They are quiet and they handle very well in wet and dry.

If I had to chose my tires now, I'd go with Dunlop SP5000 again. Great tire.

MacGyver - GET THE SP5000s! I've had both of these tires. I had the SP 5000s first, and then replaced them with the Sport A2s because they came in stock size. I definitely liked the SP 5000s A LOT BETTER. The SP5000s were quieter and MUCH BETTER in the SNOW. If I had the choice, I wouldn't go with the Sport A2s!

how long did the sp5000 last you? I got 12000km on it now & I'm definetly seeing some wears on the front one, it doesn't look like they're going to last as long as my old/stock good year GA tires.

I got like 50K miles out of them...they'll last a while as long as you don't beat the hell out of them. I have a lot of fun when I drive, but I didn't light them up or anything like that...

me neither, I'm auto can't really light them up, spin them for a second at the most, but I rode on those tires for two months with psi @ 37 & 35(stupid tire installer), its back to 31 psi now, thats prolly why it wore a little fast.

Depends where you live too, if your in an area where all-season tires come in handy then the SP A2's are for you, but if weather is not an issue, then go with the SP5000's. I myself will be getting the A2's in the near future once the RSA's need replacing. I had the old style D60 A2's on my Stanza before I got my Max, and that was a great tire, the new SP A2's are supposed to be the next generation improved version of that tire.
