1/4 mile times - HELP

1/4 mile times - HELP

i have a 96 se with a pop charger some straight piping and a muffler. i ran a 16.4 , 16.2 , and a 16.1 was my best 1/4 mile time tonight. i thought we run in the 15's??? is something wrong and what can i do to get better times besides supercharger??

Remove your subs and box, invest in a y-pipe and put on you rstock 15's and you will see low 15's if you're an auto.

Pretty sure he's an auto. Those times would be horrible for a 5spd.


Anyway, yes get a ypipe. That should put you in the high to mid 15s. I doubt you'll hit low 15s though. For that, you probably need a few more mods like a JWT ECU for example.


Also since it's a '96, you should check/change your fuel filter, knock sensor, PCV valve, tranny fluid, and spark plugs. Search for old posts for further help on this.

Ya those times aren't the greatest man, i run a 16.5 at 5830 ft on heavy 17" rims so id check to see if anything is wrong man.

how are u shifting? did u go from 1 2 then D?

yeh...raceway park and i put my stock 15's on and i took out my system...thinkin something is wrong with car??? ill check all that stuff and i need a y-pipe is anyone is selling one used. thanks

Dam I was suppose to go lastnight but couldnt (had company) my brother(01 eclipse spyder) and friend (grand prix)went. I new I should have went...

Guys on the eclipse board claim raceway pk time is off...
