This relay is on all the maximas with remote locking/keyless entry.It is in the black box on the passenger side of the car near the power steering reservoir.This relay works only when we use the keyless entry remote, Infact you can hear it clicking sending power to the blinkers.So if we connect a buzzer/horn to this relay we can make our 95 max to beep/chirp when we lock the car.Can any of the electrical gurus out there think about this??

ya...I was thinking the same thing, and I know some others have had opionions on doing this. I got a 97 I30, and it would be real useful to have it beep when you lock and unlock. If a electric person could attempt this, and hopefully do a writeup w/ pics im sure every member would b thankful!

 

There was a thread about this a week or two back ... if you search, I'm sure you can find it. I'm at work right now so I don't have the link bookmarked. But if your lazy butts don't find it by then, I'll post it again.

 

As far as i remember this post was by james and he had added an extra relay in his trunk to do this.I was asking if we can just add a horn to the existing relay? It should work !!
