Need to change my battery, need to know for sure.
Need to change my battery, need to know for sure.
I had my lights on and stereo playing for about two hours while I was trying to install my fog lights. After everything was done the car would not start. I needed to jump start it from my friends car. It works fine now but does that mean I need a new battery or did I just drain it. I let the car run for a while after that to charge it. Thanks.

What did you think would happen if you blast your stereo for hours? In my case, I need a new battery. My stereo kills it after about 10-15 mins of playing at low volume, 1200 watt amp and 2 12's. Good thing I have a 5spd and a hill nearby.
Depends on how old your battery is. Also, see:

I doubt it. Just driving around should bring it up to the proper charge.
Keep a set of jumper cables in your car just to be on the safe side.
If it starts right up no problem the next few times you're probably OK.
One thing to check -
I had problems and talked to my local dealer svc. dept.
They said to check the water level - something I thought you never needed to do.
Wrong. My water level was way down. But then I hadn't done anything to it in 5 years...
Got some distilled water and topped it off, but too late.
Got a replacement at sears for around $80.
Well worth it - big improvement.
