Clutch noise

I drive a 97 manual SE. Does anyone know what causes a squeeking noise when pushing the clutch in and then as well when letting the clutch out? No noise when it's wet out though. Thanks, Chrisco

you can get that sapretly , but it's better to replace a new clutch with the time you change that
The noise is the throwout bearing. It is usually replaced when you get a new clutch and sometimes even comes with the clutch kits (i.e. ACT). Just live with the noise till you get a new clutch and try not to hold down the clutch excessively from now on (like when you sit at a light). The longer you hold down the clutch the more the bearing wears. Just FYI so you don't get a squeeky bearing next time
