6-disc CD changer on Bose system?

I did a lot of searching and browsed through around 250 threads but didn't get a definite answer.

I'm confused whether the in-dash 6-disc cd changer is compatible with the double-din Bose unit. Can it go on the last avaiable pocket of the dash? or does the in-dash changer only work if you have a single din stock unit?

Thanks for any input.

I did a little research

I still really need help on the questions above. After doing a little research, I have another question.

It seems like the in-dash unit I want has two different part numbers, and both have very drastic price differences.

B8182-C9964PR IN DASH 6 $119.00

B8182-C9964PR In Dash 6 Disc $125.73

help please? wake up from bed already!

I walked into my nissan dealer and they were offering a special on the in-dash 6 cd changers...well, I asked them if it would work in my 97 GLE, and they said that if I already had a single-cd player (or maybe if it was because i had bose, i can't remember) that it wouldn't work...so i don't think it would work...but the 6 CD in-dash are so nice...we have it in both of our pathfinders...unfortunately they said it wouldn't work with my bose in my max

well, in your first post you said that you had a double-din bose system, which I have as well...and in those links, it states that this will only work if you have the standard single-din nissan radio
If you have a double DIN (double height) radio or a Bose system, this unit won't fit because there is no storage pocket to remove
so that confirms what my nissan dealer told me

they dont really emphasize that it wont work if you have a double din Bose unit. they only say it will work for a single din because there is an open slot right before it.

if you follow one of the eBay links, it takes you to the Courtesy page which also implies the same thing: if you have a double-din radio it won't fit because tehre isn't room for one. (no open slot)

The way everything is worded is ambiguous.
