Hydraulics on my max

AS far as cars go I'm more into show than go. I'm wanting to get adjustable suspension, but i dont think that air will give me the lift and drop that I'm looking for. Do any of you have hydraulics on your maxima? If so are you happy with them? Do they take away from the ride quality? Any help will be appreciated.

So far I think the only think on 4th Gen Maxs are air-bag suspensions, but I'm sure a custom hydrolic setup is possible.

Dude don't get hydraulics. They will bend your frame, ride quality will be like hell! I suggest going with air, much smoother than than hydros and the setup is lighter too.

I heard that the air suspension set ups offer very little results. Not much lift involved. Is this true

Maximas can't go very high or low with air suspension. Check out my friends Acura TL, he can raise his car like a 4x4, or lower it till it scrapes.

My friend had hydraulics set up on his 93 maxima se. The ride was very harsh, far worse than kyb agx shocks on stiffest setting. It was alot of fun to make the car jump up and down in the front and back (well it didnt exactly get air time but close). He had 2 pumps in his setup. All he did was have some local welder weld the cylinoids where his shocks use to be. As far as more details, I'm not sure, I'd have to ask him. But it was definitely fun.

Hey, I had bags on my maxima a little while ago. I got them because I threw a set of 20's on, and believe it or not, it lifted my car even more. I had the fenders filed down and I was able to tuck the rear wheels up under the fenders. They tucked about 3 inches in the rear when the car was all the way lowered. It looked amazing! I loved it.

A little advice. When I first put my bags on, I did nothing else to the suspension...The car rode like I was on a surf board going over waves in the ocean. It would literally make me car sick. I took it back to the place that installed the bags and they added some stuff to the suspension (costed an extra $520, I'm not sure what they did, lol), but it rode nice and solid like I had eibach lowering springs on there. I would look into upgrading your suspension before installing the bags, or have them doit while they are putting the bags on!
