Fuel Filter

When you guy's changed your fuel filter did some copper colored stuff come out? I just chaged mine, and some copper colored crap came out of it when poured out the left over gas. Is this normal? Is my gas tank rusting?

hmm..the 2 times I changed my fuel filter, I didn't get any copper stuff come out of them. All I got was gasoline out of them. I have no idea what came out of yours. Hopefully someone can answer that for you

I just changed my fuel filter and only got gas out of it. If you still have your old filter I would Suggest cutting it open and see if any rust particles are in it.

Im going to try that. What I did notice, is that this stuff came out of both ends of the fuel filter. Then I blew air into one end, and this brown stuff came out.

But that crap came out of both ends? Are our gas tanks metal? Or plastic? If it's plastick then you are right, dirty gas. I use Mobil 91 Octane. Is Mobil a good gas?
