Looks great man. DAMN your indiglos are bright. Mine look nothing like that. How did you wire them (i.e. where did you get power from, etc.)

Honestly? I like the aluminum kit, it looks real nice. But I personally don't like a tan interior with aluminum. Black interior and even grey look good with aluminum, but tan is more of a wood dash kit. Just my opinion.....

I installed my Joshua Tree carbon fibre dash kit on Saturday. I noticed that the area around the emergency flasher switch/clock/rear window defogger switch required two pieces just like mine. I have a pic of someone's dash who has that in one piece. Does that part bug you much? I know it does me a little. Also, knowing that they can cut a really thin piece above the radio display they didn't cut a thin piece above the clock bugs me too.

Great job on all the add-ons. Everything looks tight.

I'm sorry that you have Bose though

Is Bose really that bad?

Anyway, for some reason the dash kit looks a LOT better than I expected on a tan interior. Hm, good work.

Mine had they factory wood. It looked ok but I feel the dash kit really lightened things up.

Actually the indiglos look brighter in the pictures then they truly are. I simply tapped into the dimmer switch. I do have the blue needle kit installed as well so maybe that's what you are noticing.

The BOSE system sounds fine to me. I will add a Infinity Basslink sometime soon to fill out the low end but overall I'm satisfied with it.

Yeah, I got my power from the dimmer as well and yes, I have the intelliglow needle kit as well, but Im starting to think more and more like I have a lemon of sorts. Mine have a slight purplish tint to them and they are not near as bright as some other peoples'. They do have a warranty, but Im hesitant to take it all out, it was tedious enough getting it in the first time.

I really like the look of your dash kit. It would look awesome with my black interior. Is that the simulated aluminum kit? I'm not a fan of the real aluminum ones I've seen because they look so glued on with the squared off edges. I've been looking into wood kits but I kind of want something sportier. I'm trying to find a wood kit in a charcoal gray or almost black colored wood. The closest I've found is a simulated marble kit but the gray was too light. Maybe the aluminum kit would work...where'd you get it?

You get used to it.

I have the same carbon kit...just be happy that the one you saw was not real carbon fiber, but yours is.

The kit is called 3D aluminum. Alex from southwestautoworks.com has it in his car and I thought it looked really good with the tan interior. Better then any other kit I've seen. The reverse indiglos I also bought from Alex(Max8MyCash)give him a call I'm sure he can hook you up.

I think the alumminum looks pretty good with the tan interior, but I cant understand for the life of me why you guys with the GLEs stock wood trim would not paint it black before putting the dash kit over it. I think the cheesy wood underneath showing through destroys the whole kit, and makes it look twice as bad as just the wood did before.

Yea me too, thats why I went with it on my black interior. Those gaps between the radio and climate control bug me though. since its not a 3D formed kit.

i added the brushed kit also but didn't like the look of it with the brown dash so i dyed it black and it turned out real good. And for the guy wondering it's ap-signworks.com that sells the kit with the 2-in-1 clock piece.

I gotta say, your aluminum kit looks great w/ your tan interior. I too have tan but in an SE, no leather (that'll change soon) and I could imagine how that would look in mine

I agree on that. Before my sis went the german route on her next car, she had a '97 SE, black/black, loaded, that too had the Bose and I drove it for a while, that stereo can really crank! 2 of my freinds have Bose in thier '99 I-30 and '02 Escalade & they're happy w/ it.
