reverse indiglo with red bulbs
Here's a pic of my reverse indiglo with red bulbs. Sorry about the quality of the pic, cheapo digicam.

Not the best, but good enough for me. If I get the needle kit, it would look better. However, last time I messed up the install on my previous gauge cluster. So, I'm not going to even try to mess with them this time around.

Thanks guys. I bought the reverse indiglo from Ebay. Costed me about $45. At first I wanted to put blue bulbs in, but I didn't have any. Good thing I found enough red bulbs.
Btw, it looks better in person. I think I need to find myself a better digicam.

That's the same set up I have w/o chrome rings. I got some red bulbs from PepBoys rice aisle and they illuminate a little brighter. They aren't rated at 5w like the hyper whites but they are rated at 3w, which is twice as bright as the factory 1.5w. SO, if you're not real happy w/ the red needles maybe you want to try the bulbs from PepBoys. They match up perfect. I dim the reverse indiglos just a bit too. Looks good.

If you don't have all 5 bulbs in the guages the needles closest to the missing bulbs will be dim.

Hey guys, I want to order some LED bulbs to put in the gauge cluster. Do you think I should stick with red or go with blue? The LED bulbs I'm considering are found at Autodynamic.com, look to light up pretty bright.

Problem is the LED bulbs aren't cheap. So I can't get both red and blue which is want to do. Those LED bulbs cost about $13 for a pair.

It is a 194 bulb, so it should fit. Anyway, I'm going to get the red ones and I'll let you guys know how it look when I install them.

I'm pretty sure the electrical connection to the bulbs in the back are different than the ones on 194 bulbs. From what I can remember when i changed my dash, the metal connectors go around in a circular raised area at the back of the bulb. You put them behind the gauges and twist them in so the cicular connections touch the back of the sheet with all the circuits. I'm pretty sure thats the way mine was. If anyone finds a bulb or a way to modify a 194 one to fit, let me know cuz i gotta take apart my dash again anyways. I messed up the calibration of the fuel when i did it the 1st time
