This is for those mainly with bolt-on mods, but all posts are welcome. We have all heard that the VQ can take abuse from a little hard driving if one changes the oil and does maintenance. Have any of you ever had to rebuild your motor or anything else serious as a result regular spirited driving or the dragstrip/autocrossing? I'm only asking because I always thought our engines were invincible until yesterday I was behind a fellow 4th gen and when the stoplight turned green, he puffed out a little blue smoke. The car overall was in poor condition. So it got me thinking. How has everyone else's luck has been? Sorry for this being so long.
