A couple of questions about the trunk...

Just installed a new LED brake light... and now I can finally get rid of the original top mount (this is GXE - PO installed spoiler but LEDs got wet and went zzzzzt). Hope my parts come in tomorrow with my "Cover Plate"...

Anyway, what should I use to seal the light in? Just to keep moisture out. Just some bathroom caulk or something?

Also, those annoying little tabs in the trunk are damn annoying and I ended up breaking most of them. Is that a dealer only part or has anyone found the same thing in like the "HELP" section at the local parts store. You know, the little section with all the red packages and the miscellaneous car parts, like window cranks and whatnot.

Thanks a bunch...

Weather resistant clear (or black) silicone works for that type of thing. You can pick up a tube of it that comes out like a gel, very easy to work with.

As far as the clips go, I got some replacements from the dealer...they should have a bunch in stock. It might be tough to find them in some random store as they might not fit or match the rest of the clips in there, but you never know. Good luck.

They aren't rediculously priced are they? I mean... they aren't like 3 bucks a piece or anything?

Thanks for the silicone tip... that is what I figured.

I have an aftermarket spoiler and it has 4 tabs.

I got mine from www.Electrodyne.cc

It was 23 bucks. Very bright and looks like stock.

Search for "rear brake light" on their site... it should be on the second page of the search and yes they make a clear version.

Everything at the dealer is ridiculously priced.....I think they were around 50-75 cents each. I'd just get them...you don't want some funky looking clips in there.

Good point... but I think I can handle that price.

Thanks again.
