I don't think you can bore these engines out without re-sleeving them it wouldn't surprise me if the combustion chambers were siameased.

Well a hundred shot of NOS doesnt require that much of a build up but if ya want and have the money by all means knck yerself out. If yer planning on doing the 100shot first and formost upgrade your fuel pump. Now as far as boring it out you can try some custom fab crank or if ya can i think there is a thread here on the org with the dimensions and difference betewwn the 3.0 and the 3.5 liter engines of the max. No for extrude hone go here http://www.extrudehone.com/ but if ya dont want down time on yer max i would suggest going to a junk yard and getting the parts you want extrude honed. Good luck and have fun

What I heard is that 70 is the most you should have without a new fuel pump.

125 seems to be the general agreement on when to do Engine upgrades.

But then again, Some poeple on this board have mods that give +200hp, and no engine mods.

what I'm trying to say is that from what I know, our engines are great at taking anything we throw at them.

No, the 3.0L (VQ30DE) gives 190 stock for 95-99 models.
222 stock (227 in the AE, I believe) for 2000-2001.

This is because of several factors being different on the 2000-2001 models, such as the variable muffler and the VIAS (Variable Intake) system.....

You can order the Variable Intake system for the 1995-1999's from Cranman on this board. I was selling them, but my Group Deal is closed.

The VIAS for the 4th Gen was produced in the Middle east, but not here in the USA (see my sig)

The 3.5L has 255hp in the 2002 Maxima.
