Mine face front. IMHO, easier to get to.

the reason I am asking is because when I was installing brodaigs springs, I think we reversed the rear struts, and they both blew. So I want to make sure I do these right.

It really doesnt matter where it faces...but it is easier to the front. I faced mine to the rear...and wish I did it the other way. Im too lazy to change them.

Im not sure how the way you face the strut will affect the quality of it. I just dont see anything different about it. I may be wrong though.

The AGX instructions do say the dials "should be facing outward for easy accessibility." But there is no warning saying that you will damage them by "reversing them".

It does say not to lower the Max more than 1.5" or you will risk damage to the suspension. Could that be the problem on the previous install?

I haven't seen anything anywhere on the .org or other forums saying that "reversing" them can cause problems and I read everything I could get my hands on concerning AGX installs before putting mine on.

Just my opinion, but I don't think there is a wrong way to do it.

I faced mine with the dial towards the inside of the car. This is cause if you faced them towards the outside of the car, you can't reach the dial when the wheels are on the car.

My dials face outward..sort of...

Rear Drivers side: Outward angled toward the gas cap area.

Rear Passenger side: Outward angled toward Rear Passenger door.

Dials facing inward on the rears. It's very easy to reach around the tire and adjust the shocks. If the dials face outwards, you cannot reach the adjustment with the wheels on the car.

Reach from the front of the car back around the rear wheel, it's very easy to adjust them that way.
