4th Gen. Starters S*ck!!!!!

Well, I decided to wash the Max today, and after running a few errands, the car wouldn't start. I definitely knew what the problem was, because I had owned this car for eight years now ('95 GXE), and the starters made for these cars SUCK! You would think Nissan could correct this problem, but I even heard the '97's and later Maximas had similar problems. I knew I should have upgraded to a 10 tooth gear, instead of the stock 8 tooth. But, this starter I have now in the car isn't quite a year old yet. I know from experience that as the starter "ages" the solenoid will start to go. This is an actual sign of possible failure. But, my starter is fairly new, and I hope that it doesn't fail any time soon! I also heard that the bearings inside the starter can be regreased, but this SUCKS because then my car will be down for a day or so, and I just don't have any time right now. Well, I just wanted to share this with you guys, for anybody else out there that may be experiencing the same type of problems I'm experiencing.

After getting a "brand new" starter from a source, it seems that my car doesnt ignite the first turn some times, and I have to go to off and then try again.
