Using Regular NGK Platinums with NOS?

Ok guys, I just checked my NGK one step colder plugs and they are shot. I am going to the track this coming Friday and I have a SERIOUS question. Would it be VERY BAD for me to run a 100 shot with proper fuel jetting on REGULAR NGK Platinum plugs? If I gap them .04 less for every 50 hp, so .08 total, will this be ok? Thanks guys.

NO...DON'T DO IT....even if you're running the correct fuel pressure and a smaller gap...you will probably still be running TOO LEAN....find a local auto parts store that sells NGK copper plugs...and buy the BKR6E-11...they are about 2 bucks apiece...then gap them to .035...and run AT LEAST 85psi of fuel pressure.
