Switching out dash parts?

Hey, I wanted to switch the black dash part that holds the 5spd shifter with a wooden one from another max with the automatic, will the two pieces still line up because of the different shifters? Thanks.

I'm about 90-95% sure it won't work. The auto shifter trim piece is just too narrow to accomodate the movement necessary for the shifter on manual models. Try getting the wood kit or the necessary part from a wood kit and just add it to your existing manual tranny trim piece.
