i have a '98 autotragic SE w/100,000miles on it and recently started to hear or notice a funny clunk sound when i shift the tranny from reverse to drive really quick. when i shift from R to N then D everything is OK. only happens when i shift directly to D from R. Also, when i do a California rolling stop at a stop sign and then i gently hit the gas(trying to save gas), it takes a while for the gear to engage then i get a jerk forward. this doesn't happen if i punch the gas. WTF is up w/ my freakn tranny. Im a college kid and really cant afford a tranny rebuild right now. Does anyone else get this with their Maxima's?
