We can use stock at 215 55/16 or 225/50/16 or 225/55/16. Anything wider I sure wouldn't run on stock alloys let alone in our stock wheel wells.
If the size were even close though I'd pick the A2 over the Avid's anyday....

I got the Dunlop sport A2s... my brother got the Yokohama Avid V4s on his Corolla.... The cars are different along with the sizes of the tires/wheels.. so it may be tough to compare.. but from what i can tell... the A2s are much more quiet. I can't hear the road AT ALL. Just wind hissing by.. i actually almost fell asleep a few times when i just got them on my car lol. The ratings are supposed to be better.... The A2s are an improvement/follow up to the D60 Dunlop tire, which won numerous awards for best all season performance tire for the price or something like that.. I faced this as well and the A2s were relatively new and not many people knew about them so I was hesitatnt to buy them.. but I did and I'm very glad.. they are everything I need in a tire.. grip awesome in the dry and rain.. very quiet, and after 6-7k miles, i don't see a sign of wear.. so hopefully they'll last for a while..
Go with the A2s.. Dunlop doesn't make ****ty tires.. You won't regret it, trust me.
Also, 255 is something that should be on a 9-9.5" wide rim not a stock 6.5"
the most you can go is 225, they'll buldge a little bit but you can do that... i went with the stock size and they satisfy me well
