Opinions on Stillen Catback install

This is the first time I have had a chance to post:

Current performance(breathing) mods:

PR CAI
Warpspeed Y
Stock Cat
Stillen catback

First let me say the Stillen has a DRONE...

In the car it is loud, I got used to it after about a week
Seems noticeable when I have others in the car.

Do I notice a performance increase with the catback?

Most definitely, it pulls a lot harder from 50 MPH and up.
I also notice a slight increase off the line.

When I hit the highway and really hammer it, the car is very very fast on the high end, especially above 60 MPH. In fact, i get to ninety so fast now I am not even aware I am going 90 MPH.

I currently am waiting for my ME VI and installation of kit# 5124.
I will be purchasing gauges and a fuel pump in the next few weeks.

Overall, I love my AUTOMATIC and seldom get beat when I have the chancce to race.

a few of us discussed this at the NE meet today

purchase an in-line resonator (aka glasspack) from Summit Racing and have it welded into the B pipe section. This will reduce the drone (it'll still be noticeable but not as bad as it is now)

The only complaint I have is the drone around 2500 RPM's. There is a muffler shop here in York, Miles Muffler, that I may have install the resonator.

Not sure if I want to change it or not but, time will tell. My driving is reduced right now so when I do get in the car I love the sound.

I have the Stillen Y and B and HAD an aftermarket muffler and it was too loud. I had the stock muffler put back on and it quieted it down considerably. It's still louder than stock, but I don't have that drone anymore.

I have a Stillen exhaust (rear-section only) with a Stillen Intake and I also notice a drone around 2500 but thats the only spot. Otherwise its very quiet. I am going to be adding a b-pipe and Y-pipe which I fear might raise the level considerably. I was on warpspeed's site the other day and saw that they offer a b-pipe with a resonator installed for around $200 but I don't know if that resonator cancels out the gains received from replacing the stock pipe.

I have the Warpspeed Y with the full Stillen catback...

The drone may get louder. I play my music much louder now due to the drone.

The flip side of it is that it sounds real aggressive when you want it to.

Good luck!
